Mohd. Asri Mohd. Noor
Although born in Ipoh, Perak due to the curfew imposed in the aftermath of the May 13, 1969 racial riots, Asri considers himself a Penangite as he grew up and received his primary and secondary education in Georgetown, Penang. Upon receiving his B.Ed (Hons.) degree, he began his career as a teacher in 1993. He was then appointed as a lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Arau in 1997 before joining Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) in 2006. His areas of specialization include education policy and practice, educational management and leadership, international and comparative education, language in education and qualitative educational research. He currently resides in Puchong, Selangor with his wife and three children.
